Estonia August 2017

Nissan Leaf chronical leader

After a long absence, the Estonian market reappears in EV Sales, this year there are 45 new Plug-ins registered here, a 17% drop YoY, that leads the market share to 0,3%, a far cry from the 2,6% record year of 2012.

In the midst of these low results (No incentives?), the Nissan Leaf is headed for the fifth consecutive Best Seller award, selling 10 units through August, with 22% share.

Second is the surprise of the year, the Toyota Prius PHEV, that with 5 deliveries until now, it is experiencing its best year ever in Estonia.

In the manufacturers ranking, Nissan (22%) is ahead, followed by Tesla (16%) and Volkswagen (13%)

  1. Less than 100 EV sales per year in country with arguably best in the world charging network, should say smth about EV economy up to date... This seems like a strong argument, that EV sales have other reason for grow than pure economical benefits...
